Rex Daniel Lomboy


Rex Daniel Lomboy is the System Executive Director for the Providence Health System. In this role, Rex serves as the system business line and operational nurse leader for the implementation and operation of the Integrated Resource Center (IRC) of the Providence Health & Services (PH&S). The Integrated Resource Center (IRC) centralizes acute care staffing, scheduling analytics, agency management, and timekeeping services for the system. Throughout his career, Rex performed the roles of an Associate Director at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, Patient Care Services Manager at Mount Sinai West in New York, Operations Administrator at Southern California Hospital in Los Angeles, Administrative Nurse Manager at Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas Medical Center, and Operations Manager at HCA - Kingwood Medical Center in Houston, Texas.


Rex received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing, summa cum laude, and Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from the University of Texas, where he was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma International, respectively. Rex is currently enrolled in Doctorate in Nursing Practice in Healthcare Leadership, Systems, and Policy at Yale University. Rex holds a Nursing Executive, Advanced National Board Certification and is a Fellow of New York Academy of Medicine. Additionally, Rex is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and American Organization of Nurse Leaders.


Rex was a board of director for A Moment of Magic (a non-profit organization focused on pediatric oncology welfare) and a board of advisor for Rutgers University’s Customer Experience Program. Rex also served as a mentor in the Mount Sinai Health System’s SHARP Internship Program focused on project management and leadership development.
